Prenatal Services
Together with
Doulananda Birth
Services, we offer many different comfort and educational offerings to help your pregnancy be as healthy as possible.
Doula Services: “The word "doula" comes from the ancient Greek meaning "a woman
who serves" and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional
who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the
mother before, during and just after birth; or who provides emotional and
practical support during the postpartum period. Studies have shown that when
doulas attend birth, labors are shorter with fewer complications, babies are
healthier and they breastfeed more easily.”

Doulananda currently has doula’s offering 'pay what you can'
services to expecting moms as a part of their certification process.
Doula services are normally $500 (can be broken down into payments).
We will not turn away a mother in need of a doula due to finances! Call or email

Hypnobirthing classes: Doulananda Birth Services is
pleased to offer HypnoBirthing® - The Mongan Method
at Yoga Ananda. Hypnobirthing is as much a philosophy as it is a technique. The method teaches you
that, in the absence of fear and tension, or special medical
circumstances, severe pain does not have to be an accompaniment of
labor. You will gain an understanding of how the birthing muscles
work in perfect harmony--as they were designed to--when your body is
sufficiently relaxed and you trust birth. You will learn how to
achieve this kind of relaxation, free of the resistance that fear
creates, and you will learn to use your natural birthing instincts
for a calm, serene and comfortable birth.
HypnoBirthing®
Mothers are making choices -- creating change! In 2007 over 70% of
HypnoBirthing® mothers birthing vaginally had unmedicated births.
YOU WILL LEARN: Everything you need to know to achieve
safer, easier and more comfortable birth To explode the myth that
pain is a necessary accompaniment to labor What’s wrong with labor
as it exists with most other childbirth methods Techniques of deep
relaxation to help you eliminate the Fear-Tension-Pain Syndrome
How your body is naturally designed to conceive, nurture and birth
your baby with ease and comfort To create your body’s own natural
relaxant, the only safe labor enhancement Natural ways to bring
your body into labor without artificial chemical induction How you
and your birthing companion can create a birthing environment that
is calm, serene and joyful, rather than tense and stressful Gentle
birthing techniques that allow you to breathe your baby into the
world without the violence of hard physical pushing To use your
natural birthing instincts to birth your baby in a way that most
mirrors the way that nature intended...

Prenatal Massage:
Massage during pregnancy aids the health of you and your baby and
alleviates some of the discomforts of pregnancy while promoting
overall well-being. It is a completely safe, natural, drug free
method of relieving the aches and pains of pregnancy. It assists the
circulatory and lymphatic systems by promoting the movement of blood
and lymph, which assists the heart and reduces swelling. Massage
helps to alleviate stress on the weight bearing joints of the hips,
pelvis, knees, and ankles and relieves soreness in the muscles that
are supporting the additional weight of the baby. Massage helps to
prepare the body for delivery by loosening the pelvis and ridding
the body of excess tension prior to the onset of labor. Appropriate
positioning is used to provide the mother total comfort and optimum
therapeutic benefits.
