 Massage
Massage helps you relax while
addressing pain caused by over-use, injury, or arthritis. We offer many
modalities of to meet your needs such as Therapeutic (deep tissue), NeuroMuscular,
Sports Massage, and Relaxation. The effects of
massage are cumulative, and for best results we recommend a series of massages.
Relaxation Massage: Come and relax! Also referred to as Swedish Massage, this
massage technique incorporates continuous strokes, deep kneading and
stretching to tight muscles. These session can last thirty minutes
to one hour. Lotions are used. If you are sensitive to scents,
please inform your therapist so an unscented lotion can be used.
Benefits: Reduces stress levels, stretches and tones muscles, helps
the body to maintain homeostasis.

Therapeutic Massages:

Deep Tissue:
One
step above a Relaxation (Swedish) Massage, this session uses more
pressure to work the muscles at a deeper level in order to loosen
muscle fibers from their holding pattern while breaking up and
eliminating scar tissue, thus, releasing toxins and encouraging
better blood and oxygen flow into the area.

Neuromuscular Massage:
This is an advanced form of deep
tissue that works the origin, insertion, and body of the muscle in a
specific way in order to produce specific results.
Sports Massage:
These techniques utilize a
combination of modalities, including neuromuscular, myofascial,
stretching, and heat and ice therapy for therapeutic purposes in
order to help speed the healing process. It is used to prevent and
alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasms, and scar tissue, as well
as treat disorders such as migraines,
fibromyalgia, back pain, etc. SMT is not only suited for
athletes, but anyone who moves and lives in his/her body (i.e.
YOU!). Effective for injuries due to over/under use of joints and
muscle groups, Sports Massage can be both invigorating and relaxing
at the same time. Try a Sports Massage flush after a workout and
notice a freedom from next-day soarness!

Thai
Massage:
or Nuad Boran, loosely translated as 'lazy man's yoga' or
'assisted yoga'. We use a series of
guided synchronized asanas and gentle yoga stretches combined with
acupressure and energy work. Performed using gentle rhythmic
movement on Sen lines and Marmas, channels in the human body are
worked to stimulate a flow of energy to create a state of balance
and harmony. The mind is cleared, the body is strengthened, and you
reconnect to your spirit. In a well choreographed duet, the
practitioner will lead you through a flowing sequence starting at
the feet and ending at the head. On a physical level, this full body
Massage improves flexibility, range of motion and relaxes sore
muscles. On a spiritual level, Traditional Thai massage will leave
you feeling balanced and grounded, with a deeper sense of inner
peace. During your traditional Thai Massage, no oil is used and you
remain clothed throughout on a padded mat on the floor. Please wear
comfortable clothing or allow time to change into the traditional
clothing provided

Hot Stone Massage: is a
style of massage in which water-treated stones are placed at
specific sites on the client's body to promote relaxation and to
help open up the energy pathways. This treatment offers extra
relaxation of the muscles by placing the hot stones of varying sizes
on parts of the body from the forehead (and sometimes between the
toes) giving a deep massage and creating a sensation of warmth and
comfort.
The heat from the stones feels great and is also wholly therapeutic
aiding in detoxing the body and relaxing the nervous system. Muscles
are pretreated with the heated stones to allow the therapist to more
easily perform massage manipulations. Massage lotion or oils are
usually incorporated into the massage treatment.
$90 per hour / $110 for 90 minutes
Reiki with Massage:
a nice
combination of relaxation massage with energy work built in.
Price $75 per hour
Couple Massage: Whether its a romantic anniversary with a
spouse, hanging out with a friend or sibling, the couples massage is
a great way to connect.

Cancellation Policy:
Please be considerate of the Therapist and the Center by cancelling
your appointments with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations made
24 hours before the appointment and no shows will result in a charge of half the apt
rate.
